This week on All the Cool Parts, we present the choral music of Eric Whitacre, as performed by the Polyphony chorus directed by Stephen Layton. Whitacre's music has become extremely popular, especially in the choir and concert band worlds, and he is rapidly becoming one of the most performed living American composers period.
Also, we present our All the Cool Parts Idol #2. In this installment, we hear Prologue by Seattle based composer J.C. Combs. Prologue is part of a larger work entitled Minstrel Nomadic, and can be purchased HERE. J.C. also runs Improv Friday, and is the founder of this weekly event.
